George Vincent, managing partner and chairman of the board of directors at Dinsmore & Shohl, will serve as the 2011 chair of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. He will be publicly installed into the position on Feb. 24 at the chamber’s annual dinner.

“George is uniquely positioned to lead the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber in these evolving times,” said Ellen van der Horst, president and CEO of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. “He has an intimate knowledge of our community from many perspectives-- as a business owner and employer, community supporter and counselor to businesses. These varied points of view will inform our work as George leads our efforts to drive value for our members, the business community and Cincinnati USA.”

Vincent plans to use his experience to enable the chamber to employ new avenues to communicate value drivers to members as well as maintain the chamber’s aggressive approach to economic development.

“Cincinnati has so much optimism compared to cities we compete against -- and justifiably so,” Vincent said. “We have a diverse economy, great workforce and a unique blend of strong attributes. And so much of this is due to the work of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber -- the region would be much poorer without the chamber’s contributions. I’m excited about this opportunity.”

Vincent joined Dinsmore & Shohl in 1982 and took over as managing partner of the firm in 2008. He serves on a variety of other boards, including the Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Museum Center and Christ Hospital. He earned his J.D. and B.A. from the University of Michigan.
