Dinsmore & Shohl LLP announces Paul R. Boken as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). Boken takes over for Suellen Young, who is retiring after 13 years as COO.

“We are pleased to welcome Paul to Dinsmore. He brings a broad base of experience from the business world and legal management that will be valuable as we continue to grow,” said George H. Vincent, Dinsmore Managing Partner and Chairman. “Suellen will be missed. She leaves the firm in a great position for the future.”

Boken joins Dinsmore from Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in Chicago. For 16 years, he served as Hinshaw’s Executive Managing Director and was responsible for the administrative functions of the firm. Prior to
Hinshaw, Boken was the Legal Administrator at Liebert Cassidy Whitmore. He started his career as a technology consultant at the division of Arthur Andersen that eventually became Accenture. Boken was a consultant for eight years before becoming the Administrative Director for Andersen’s Southern California Tax Practice.

Boken is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and serves on the Board of the Large Firm Administrator Caucus. He was Chairman of the Large Firm Administrator Caucus 2009 Retreat Education Committee.

“Dinsmore has a strong platform to serve its clients’ needs, and I plan to leverage my insights and experience to continue the strategic growth,” said Boken. “I’m looking forward to learning more about the firm’s culture, the attorneys’ practices and the professional staff as I settle into my new role.”
