Jill Cranston Rice Concludes Term as Defense Association President

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP’s Jill Cranston Rice recently concluded a year-long term as president of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia (DTCWV), an association of more than 500 attorneys who defend individuals and corporations in civil litigation. 

Prior to her term as the organization’s president, Rice served as DTCWV vice-president (2015-16), treasurer (2014-15) and secretary (2013-14) and has served as a member of its board of directors since 1998. 

Rice is a partner in Dinsmore’s Litigation Department and chair of the Government Relations practice group. She focuses her practice on government relations, insurance and health care law but litigates on behalf of many sectors. Rice serves as president of the West Virginia Insurance Federation and regularly defends insurers in civil and administrative proceedings involving coverage disputes and claims for common law and statutory bad faith.
