Dinsmore & Shohl LLP names Joshua S. Rogers as Office Managing Partner of the firm’s Morgantown office. Rogers assumed the role on January 1, taking over the duties from David M. Thomas.

“Dave has done an outstanding job running the Morgantown office. It has been a pleasure watching him grow the office over the past three years to what it is today,” said Rogers. “I am excited about the opportunity to lead the energetic group we have working here in Morgantown. We have the small office culture with the big firm resources.”

Rogers joined Dinsmore as a second year associate when the Morgantown office opened in 2007, and he became a partner with the firm in 2013. He is looking forward to building on the momentum created by his predecessor. According to Rogers, that means strategically growing and finding attorneys whose practices will complement the needs of Dinsmore’s existing clients while expanding its local client base.
Rogers focuses his practices on estate and trust law as well as corporate planning and family litigation. He represents clients in both West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Outside of his practice, Rogers is active in the firm as a member of the Professional Development, Business Development, Associate Evaluation and Recruiting committees. He is a frequent lecturer at seminars on various family wealth planning and corporate topics.

Outgoing Managing Partner David Thomas moves to become Chief Executive Officer of Clear Mountain Bank. Thomas remains affiliated with Dinsmore in an Of Counsel capacity. Twelve attorneys practice out of Dinsmore’s Morgantown office. Dinsmore also has West Virginia locations in Charleston, Huntington, Lewisburg and Wheeling.
