Two Dinsmore San Diego Attorneys Named 2017 Super Lawyers

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP’s Joseph S. Leventhal and Adriana Cara have been named to the 2017 San Diego Super Lawyers list. Attorneys on the Super Lawyers list are selected by a multi-phase process that takes into account independent research, peer evaluations and professional achievement. The exclusive list recognizes no more than five percent of attorneys.

Joseph S. Leventhal is the Office Managing Partner of the San Diego office where he is leading the firm’s efforts to grow its practice and presence throughout California. He is also a member of our Litigation Department focusing on representing clients of all sizes, from Fortune 250 companies to individuals at the highest levels of corporate America and the U.S. government. Leventhal has successfully represented high-profile companies in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters. His practice spans all areas of business litigation, including the defense of class actions, patent litigation, complex contract matters and white collar defense. This is the fourth year that Mr. Leventhal has been named to the Super Lawyers list. He was previously named to the San Diego Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” list and a “Top Attorney” for Corporate Litigation by the San Diego Daily Transcript. He serves as a leader in the legal community currently serving as Vice President of the Ninth Circuit for the Federal Bar Association and previously served as president of the San Diego Chapter of the FBA and co-chair of the Lawyer Representatives for the Southern District of California.

Adriana Cara is a partner in our Employment, Labor and Benefits Department where her clients range among size and industry. She has successfully represented Fortune 500 Companies, as well as start-ups. Her clients include public employers, non-profit corporations, and those in private sector industries. Additionally, Adriana has significant experience conducting sexual harassment training, as well as workplace investigations on behalf of employers in connection with allegations of discrimination and harassment. Cara was recently named in the 92009 Magazine as an Inspiring Role Model and was featured in the San Diego Union-Tribune’s “People Who Define San Diego County.” She has been a finalist for San Diego Business Journal “Women Who Mean Business” the past two years, as well as being named one of the 25 Top Labor & Employment Law Attorneys by the San Diego Daily Transcript in 2015.
