Nick has seen countless construction projects from start to finish, from the design stage to groundbreaking through completion, and he prides himself on helping general contractors, sub-contractors, and industry professionals identify and avoid preventable mistakes. Along with his law degree, Nick has been in and around the construction industry in some form for more than 20 years with experience in grading and drainage, framing, and waterproofing and roofing. This collective experience means he knows how to counsel clients on problems that arise during a job, as well as how to prevent them in the first place.
He prides himself on his collaborative and communicative approach to resolving disputes, and regularly helps his clients navigate bid disputes, breach of contracts, delay claims, termination, differing site conditions, mechanic’s lien foreclosure, and trust fund violations. His experience includes handling large loss first-party property coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, subrogation, contract negotiation, government contracts, and employment issues. Nick has also earned his construction management certificate from Columbia University, and is familiar with the newest and most common construction industry practices and often works with his clients to help identify, allocate, and mitigate risks that arise throughout the life of current and future projects.
