Paige N. Johnson

Paige’s ability to identify, appreciate, and resolve the unique needs of her clients makes her a valued member of the firm. As a litigator, she is experienced in a diverse array of matters with an emphasis on tort litigation. She focuses her practice on defending clients in professional liability, product liability, and premises liability matters, in addition to insurance coverage issues, real estate litigation, medical device litigation, and business litigation. Paige advises a variety of clients, including health care systems, financial firms, insurance companies, product manufacturers, non-profits, solo-practitioners, and family-owned businesses.

She has criminal and civil trial experience and works in all aspects of litigation, including initial case assessment and investigation, pre-suit negotiations, drafting and responding to detailed discovery requests, supervising e-discovery and mass document review, taking and defending fact and expert depositions, mediating and settling complex claims, and successfully defending appeals. She has drafted and argued successful dispositive motions on behalf of her clients in both state and federal courts.

As a student, Paige interned with The Center for Women and Families, the United States Marshals Service, and the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy. In law school, she received her limited license to practice law with the Robert and Sue Ellen Ackerson Law Clinic where she represented low-income victims of domestic violence in emergency protection hearings. She served as both secretary and 3L representative of the Student Bar Association and was the online content editor of the University of Louisville Law Review. Paige now serves as a member of the University of Louisville Department of Criminal Justice Alumni Advisory Board and is a member of the editorial board of the Kentucky Defense Counsel’s “Common Defense” publication.
