Phillip focuses his practice on commercial litigation. Prior to joining Dinsmore, Phillip represented Commonwealth agencies and employees in federal and state court litigation matters including medical malpractice defense, civil rights, and employment. He handled all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, appearing at mediations and arguing motions. Phillip also successfully obtained a defense verdict as first-chair counsel following a two-day jury trial in federal court.
He previously served as judicial law clerk for Common Pleas Judge Mark D. Stevens and assisted with trial preparation, legal research, and preparation of judicial decisions. He received his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law.
