Ya focuses her practice on labor and employment law and has broad litigation experience. She previously worked at the New York State Office of the Attorney General, where she defended state agencies in a wide range of matters in state and federal court, including employment law claims, civil rights claims, and administrative appeals. Earlier in her career, she also worked at the New York City Commission on Human Rights, where she enforced the city's anti-discrimination law, primarily within the employment context, and at The Legal Aid Society in New York City, where she served as a public defender and handled all aspects of litigation, including through trial.
