River focuses his practice on commercial litigation. He has represented individuals, businesses, and large companies in the insurance and commercial sectors across a variety of complex litigation matters ranging from negligence issues to breach of contract actions. He has extensive experience representing businesses and individuals in court proceedings related to breach of contract and general negligence. He has tried multiple cases in front of juries across Florida through his time practicing law, including presenting and defending high value matters on behalf of both individuals and corporate entities. During his time of practicing law, he has tried nine cases and secured favorable outcomes in seven of them, including verdicts significantly below the multimillion dollar amounts sought by plaintiffs and a complete zero verdict for one of his clients.
For multiple clients, River has managed a large case load of litigation matters from inception through resolution, whether in front of a jury or through amicable settlement, while also managing a team to ensure his client received favorable results. He has handled a large number of depositions, including depositions of expert witnesses, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations. He has resolved high value cases with opposing counsel through mediation and arbitration and worked diligently to reach outcomes favorable to his clients. He has conducted and led meetings discussing litigation and legal strategy with multiple levels of management for companies and businesses he has represented.
Outside of his legal career, he enjoys cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide football team, spending time with his German Shorthaired Pointer, Wesson, and playing golf throughout Tampa Bay.
