Licensed across three states, Brian P. Kershaw brings more than 10 years representing both insurers and policyholders in high-stakes coverage and liability matters
National law firm Dinsmore & Shohl LLP has welcomed experienced insurance coverage and litigation attorney Brian P. Kershaw to the Firm’s Denver office as a partner. Licensed in Colorado, Oklahoma and Arkansas, Brian brings more than a decade of experience representing insurers and their insureds in complex first-party and third-party disputes, with a practice concentrated on insurance coverage, bad faith litigation, commercial litigation, product liability and subrogation matters.
Brian has built a reputation for guiding clients through high-exposure litigation at every stage of the process, from pre-suit investigations through trial and appeal. His experience spans a broad range of matters, including insurance defense, construction defect claims, premises liability, property damage disputes and wrongful death cases.
Today, much of Brian’s practice focuses on insurance bad faith and coverage disputes, where he advises major insurers and Fortune 500 companies on complex claims and litigation strategy. He regularly manages all aspects of litigation, including motion practice, depositions and appellate matters.

Brian earned his J.D. from The University of Tulsa College of Law, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Energy Law Journal, and his B.S. from Oklahoma State University. He is a member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, Colorado Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association and Defense Research Institute.
