Abdul Wasay Shahid

Biography

Abdul Wasay is an experienced civil litigator, with extensive experience in handling all stages of litigation. His representation of clients in civil litigation matters has included taking and defending depositions, conducting discovery, and drafting/arguing dispositive and substantive motions in court. He has also represented clients in mediation to achieve favorable outcomes on their behalf outside of the courtroom.

Prior to joining Dinsmore, Abdul worked for a prominent boutique litigation firm in Southern California.

Abdul holds both a Juris Doctor and LLM in international law. During his time at DePaul University College of Law, Abdul was selected to serve as a student senator for the College of Law and as a teaching assistant. He also received the CALI award for Legal Writing and Research and the Dean’s Academic Scholarship Award.
