Andrew Dettmer

Biography

Andrew’s passion for advocacy enables him to solve clients’ disputes in a manner that aligns with their broader business strategy and goals while managing the increasing demands of technology and the global economy. He has successfully resolved internal, state and federal government investigations and frequently counsels clients on regulatory matters in the health care and food and beverages industries. He has also managed a national discovery process for a multidistrict medical device class action.

Clients appreciate Andrew’s ability to approach matters from numerous perspectives, enabling him to come up with creative solutions to complex problems. A client facing state, federal and citizen-led actions following an environmental occurrence turned to Andrew for assistance and was able to avoid paying millions of dollars in fines and damages.

His experience also includes investigating and resolving litigation by negotiating early dismissal for a client involved in the largest leak of confidential court records in U.S. history. He also has a deep commitment to pro bono and community impact litigation. He received his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law.
