Join our growing team of skilled and passionate attorneys

We’re a full-service legal practice with national reach, and we encourage our attorneys to take an active role in shaping their careers. Through hands-on client work, open communication, technical training, professional development, mentoring, evaluations and community involvement, you’ll have meaningful opportunities to grow within a sophisticated and supportive firm.

The firm is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We provide equal opportunities in all employment positions, regardless of age (as defined in the Age Discrimination in Employment Act), disability, sex, national origin, race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or veteran status.

Lateral Partners

With headquarters in the Midwest and office from coast-to-coast, Dinsmore combines the breadth of a large firm with a collaborative, team-focused culture. Our clients value our practical, business-minded approach, and we offer an environment where your practice can continue to develop.

New & Lateral Associates

While each attorney shapes their own path, we’re committed to providing support every step of the way. You’ll gain experience through meaningful, hands-on work alongside seasoned colleagues, educational programs and mentoring that help build confidence and capability.

Our nine-month advanced orientation program, designed by the Professional Development Committee, helps new and lateral associates strengthen skills in core areas and connect with firm leadership, experienced attorneys and other professionals who will be part of your career journey.

Mentoring is central to our culture. We offer formal and informal programs, an annual mentoring seminar with a related social gathering and access to volunteer mentors across the firm. Partners play an active role in supporting associate development as part of our broader training framework.

We also provide opportunities for continuing legal education in both substantive and practical areas of the law, including support for attending approved seminars to meet CLE requirements.

There is no fixed timeline for partnership consideration. While associates who join after graduation from law school are typically eligible for review after seven to eight years, each attorney’s progress is evaluated individually based on their unique experience.

Each year, our attorneys participate in a formal evaluation process that provides thoughtful, specific feedback to guide their continued development.
