Equity and inclusion at Dinsmore
Creating a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion takes more than intent—it requires action. At Dinsmore, we bring together talented professionals from varied backgrounds to broaden our perspectives and deliver greater value to our clients. Through career development programs, affinity groups, and strategic recruiting, we open pathways to leadership across the firm. Our commitment extends beyond our walls: we work to advance equity in our communities and stand firm against injustice wherever it exists.
Career advancement programs, firm affinity groups, committees, and initiative groups provide pathways to leadership opportunities and greater inclusion within the firm, and our retention rates reflect on the efficacy of these efforts. We’ve implemented these initiatives to provide value and benefit to our clients, our profession, and our communities every day and ensure Dinsmore continues to grow as a firm.
While our commitment to providing an inclusive culture for our attorneys and staff is ongoing, we also have a moral responsibility to the surrounding communities where we reside-and to the nation as a whole. The current state of our country is a call-to-action for all of us, and Dinsmore is on an unwavering course to combat racial injustice in all its forms, wherever and whenever it may exist.

Diversity scholarship programs
Diversity and inclusion are core values and prime ingredients of Dinsmore’s culture. We are proud to offer the Buford-Jemison Scholarship Program, a unique opportunity for a first-year law student to split their summer associate experience between Dinsmore and global consumer goods corporation The Procter & Gamble Company. One first-year scholarship recipient will be a salaried summer associate for both P&G and Dinsmore, splitting a 12-week period between both organizations’ Cincinnati, Ohio offices.
Dinsmore is also offering an HBCU Diversity Scholarship opportunity for first-year law students who attend any HBCU law school and/or any first-year law student who has obtained an HBCU undergraduate or graduate degree. The scholarship recipient will participate in Dinsmore’s 10-week summer associate program.
The chosen scholarship recipients will receive up to $10,000 and are assigned a mentor to serve as a dedicated resource for professional development. We specifically seek applicants who have a strong record of academic or professional achievement, demonstrated leadership qualities, and a meaningful commitment to diversity. The recipients will be eligible for an opportunity to return for a second summer and as a first-year associate with Dinsmore following graduation.
The deadline for 2026 scholarship applications is Friday, January 30, 2026.
