J. Riley Able

Biography

Riley focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on government investigations and litigation under the federal False Claims Act (FCA). He has successfully represented clients in all phases of FCA litigation, including responding to civil investigative demands and agency subpoenas, convincing the Department of Justice not to intervene in qui tam actions, and litigating large-scale government-intervened and relator-led actions. Riley has also conducted internal corporate compliance investigations for defense and healthcare contractors, including investigations in response to internal whistleblower complaints.

Riley received his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law where he was a Fellow with the Weaver Institute of Law and Psychiatry. Before joining Dinsmore, Riley worked as a Law Clerk with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio and as a Fellow with The Ohio Innocence Project.
