Laura S. Cordell

Biography

Laura has successfully represented numerous clients in complex legal disputes, handling a wide array of litigation matters such as premises liability, negligent security, wrongful death, commercial trucking, and catastrophic personal injury cases. Prior to joining Dinsmore, Laura worked with large insurance defense firms, honing her skills in cases involving a variety of disputes.  She has assisted in the defense of numerous high-profile cases, including multi-million dollar catastrophic tort cases, such as defective products, trucking accidents, and other matters involving severe injuries or fatalities. Through her experience, Laura has developed a deep understanding of the complexities involved in commercial litigation and is focused on aggressively, but efficiently, representing her clients.

Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Loyola New Orleans, where she also obtained a minor in Communication Studies. She then pursued her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of law, where she developed a strong foundation in various areas of law, including torts, personal injury, and civil litigation. Her background also includes criminal defense, spending her 2L summer as a Certified Legal Intern for the San Francisco Public Defender’s office and working for a private criminal defense firm before joining civil practice.
