Mona  K.  Ibadi

Biography

Mona Ibadi is an Associate at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP’s Huntington, West Virginia office. Her practice is centered in civil defense litigation, ranging from railroad litigation to privacy law to personal injury. She also participates in medical malpractice, commercial litigation, and products liability cases. At Dinsmore, Mona serves in the Advancement and Retention Subcommittee of Women’s Initiative and helped champion the launch of WI-CAP (Women’s Initiative Career Advancement Program).

Prior to joining Dinsmore, Mona completed her Political Science degree at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey before attending Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, NC. At Wake Forest, she served as Symposium Editor of the Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law, Treasurer of Firearms Awareness Club, Professional Development Chair of First Generation Law Student Society, and Member of Women in Law. She also was a Finalist in the Cynthia J. Zeliff Mock Trial Competition and made the Sweet Sixteen of the Trial Bar Competition during her first year of law school. Finally, Mona was accepted into the Medical-Legal Partnership Clinic, where she obtained hands-on experience working with clients before graduating law school.

Being new to the area, Mona has enjoyed discovering and learning about the Appalachian culture and landscape. While living in Huntington, Mona has grown to love the community and all that West Virginia has to offer. She is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, Cabell County Bar Association, and the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia. She also participates in a book club that meets monthly, in addition to community activities sponsored by Dinsmore.

In her free time, Mona enjoys reading, yoga, rock climbing, hiking, and spending time with her family.
