Dinsmore Welcomes Labor and Employment Attorney Jonathan Kelly

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP has added Jonathan Kelly to its Labor & Employment department. As an associate in the firm’s Cincinnati headquarters, Kelly will assist in employment litigation with a special focus on compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

“We are thrilled to have Jon join our group in Cincinnati,” said Faith Whittaker, chair of Dinsmore’s employment group. “Jon will be a fantastic addition to the team, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, as our group is extremely busy advising clients on the continuous changes to employment issues.”

Prior to joining Dinsmore, Kelly was a staff attorney at Baker & Hostetler, LLP. He also served as a judicial law clerk in the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2016 and was ranked in in the top 15 percent of his class. During law school, Kelly was involved with the Ohio Innocence Project and served as blog chair for the University of Cincinnati Law Review.

Kelly completed his B.A. in political science at Xavier University, where he served as D’Artagnan, the head mascot for the Xavier Musketeers.

He now lives in Anderson Township with his wife and remains active in the Cincinnati Bar Association as co-chair of the mock trial committee.
