Land Air Express Chooses Dinsmore M&A Team for Sale to Forward Air Corporation

A Dinsmore M&A team led by Bobby Lucas in the Firm’s Chicago office, is grateful for the opportunity to counsel Land Air Express through its sale to Forward Air Corporation (NASDAQ: FWRD). Headquartered in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Land Air Express operates more than 300 trucks out of twenty-five terminals across the nation offering guaranteed, same-day pickup and delivery.

The $56.5M transaction, funded by Forward Air’s cash on hand and existing credit facility, closed on January 31, 2023. With locations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, Forward Air Corporation provides expedited LTL services, local pickup and delivery, shipment consolidation and warehousing. The acquisition of Land Air Express expands Forward Air’s national terminal footprint, particularly in the Midwest.

An M&A team of Madison Rittley, Rachel Pressdee and Alex Albers, located in the Firm’s Dayton and Pittsburgh offices, assisted Lucas in the transaction.
