National law firm Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to announce that Christine Kroupa has joined the Firm as a partner in its Denver office. Christine is an insurer-side practitioner with deep experience in advising clients through first-party bad faith litigation matters.

As a fifth generation “farm kid,” hard work is ingrained in Christine. Clients praise her strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail in every case. By taking an analytical approach to her practice, Christine identifies vulnerabilities early, helping clients mitigate risks and position themselves for successful outcomes. Her practice also encompasses defending clients against various claims, including professional liability, business disputes, premises liability, employment discrimination, personal injury and wrongful death. She has represented political subdivisions, government entities and state employees in matters ranging from alleged constitutional civil rights violations to negligence.

Christine’s background includes representing Fortune 100 companies and other businesses, including defending against claims of legal malpractice and professional liability. Her practice requires her to constantly learn new aspects of the law, which allows her to exercise her knowledge across industries. Looking at it as “a case within a case,” if Christine represents an attorney accused of malpractice from a divorce dispute, she familiarizes herself with family law.

“I’m a really analytical person,” Christine says. “I enjoy the challenge of complex matters which is often like putting a puzzle together. I have an attention for detail that allows me to remember facts and identify discrepancies.”

She has also successfully defended clients in disciplinary matters before the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel. She is often involved in construction litigation, representing builders, developers and design professionals in construction defect actions and other construction disputes.

While Dinsmore’s national platform initially drew Christine’s attention, the more she learned about the Firm’s people and collaborative culture truly won her over. “The emphasis on culture and sense of community, and doing things out in the community is really fulfilling,” Christine says. “There’s an understanding that this is a business, but the people matter and they’re not just seen as a widget cranking out numbers.”

“We are excited to welcome Christine to our national insurance coverage team,” said Michael Paul, Denver Office Managing Partner.  “With her extensive experience advising clients on complex coverage issues and representing them in high-stakes disputes, Christine brings tremendous value to our clients and deepens our bench strength across key markets.  Her addition underscores our commitment to providing top-tier counsel in insurance law nationwide.”

Christine earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from Creighton University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is licensed in Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
