Robb Watters Brings Diverse Corporate Practice to Dinsmore’s Pittsburgh Office

National law firm Dinsmore & Shohl LLP announced today that Robert Watters has joined the Firm’s Corporate Department as a partner in its Pittsburgh office. Robb brings more than a decade of experience advising businesses of all sizes on the full spectrum of corporate and transactional matters, from startup formation and strategic growth initiatives to complex mergers and acquisitions. Drawing on a background that includes serving as head legal counsel for a large, regional natural gas producer, Robb also brings deep experience advising clients in the energy space, and across a wide array of industries and sectors.

Robb’s client base spans emerging companies and family-owned businesses to market-leading organizations with nine-figure revenues. He regularly structures and executes transactions tailored to clients’ unique needs, including joint ventures, equity and partnership agreements, buy-sell agreements and business succession and transition planning strategies, in addition to traditional M&A-level transactions.

“I enjoy helping clients achieve their goals, whether that’s launching a startup, pursuing a transformative acquisition or preparing a company for a successful exit,” Robb said. “What attracted me to Dinsmore was the depth of talent, broad geographic reach and collaborative culture. The national footprint gives us additional resources to support clients wherever they do business while continuing to provide the practical, business-focused counsel they rely on.”

Robb’s arrival comes amid intentional growth by Pittsburgh Managing Partner Anthony Ditka to deepen the office’s corporate and commercial litigation capabilities, with several associates also joining the team.

“Robb brings a sophisticated corporate practice, strong industry knowledge and a practical approach to client service that will be an immediate asset to our clients and our team. As we’ve continued to expand both our corporate and commercial litigation teams, we’re building a deeper bench of talent that allows us to deliver practical, business-minded solutions to increasingly complex challenges.”

Outside of his law practice, Robb serves on the board of the John Krauland Jr. Memorial Foundation, which awards scholarships each year to three high school students in the Gibsonia area, and assists families in the community with projects and other needs.

Robb earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Duquesne University, and his J.D. from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law.
