Two Dinsmore Partners Named 2025 BTI Client Service All-Stars
Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is proud to announce that attorneys Karen Gaunt and Grant Monachino have been named BTI Client Service All-Stars for 2025, a prestigious recognition awarded to a select group of attorneys nationwide who deliver exceptional client service.
BTI describes its Client Service All-Stars as the only attorney ranking recognition based exclusively on unsolicited client feedback. To be recognized, attorneys must earn an unprompted nomination to be considered and meet a performance threshold that is extraordinarily high. The recognition cannot be bought, or self-nominated.
Decisions are based on feedback from top legal decision-makers at leading organizations. Attorneys are selected for their ability to provide practical solutions, deep business understanding and consistent responsiveness.
To earn this distinction, attorneys must excel in areas such as:
- Understanding the client’s business and goals
- Providing clear, actionable advice
- Being highly responsive and accessible
- Delivering value beyond expectations
Clients say Karen “pairs deep legal expertise with a clear understanding of our business priorities.” When it comes to meeting a client’s objectives, Karen’s philosophy is: "Every client needs to be met where they are. I work hard to understand each client’s overall objectives, their budgets, their risk tolerance levels, and how taking any particular action may have broader implications beyond any legal determination. I provide counseling that takes into account not just the legal implications of taking any particular action, but that also is tailored to consider how any legal action taken has a broader impact on the client’s overall business goals, its day to day operations, and its reputation in the business community and beyond."
Clients trust Grant to keep them “informed at every stage and translate intricate legal matters into clear options.” When asked about his client philosophy, Grant says: "Like in any relationship, first you need to listen and understand what the client’s looking for, or looking to solve, and why (i.e., how the client defines success). Second, it’s important the client understands how the relevant law applies to the circumstances and the potential business impact. After that, it’s just a matter of working with the client to find the intersection of where a legal solution meets the business needs."
