A. Lani Ceballos is in Dinsmore’s Labor and Employment practice group. She advises and defends employers in a wide range of workplace matters, including discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and employment contract disputes.
Before joining the Firm, Lani practiced at a national law firm, where she represented clients in complex litigation, including class actions, mass torts, and product liability claims. That experience sharpened her skills in managing large-scale discovery, developing litigation strategy, and navigating high-stakes disputes across multiple jurisdictions.
Lani’s commitment to justice is reflected by her active pro bono practice in which she regularly represents wrongly incarcerated individuals. Prior to becoming an associate, Lani served as a BCLP fellow and split her time as a staff attorney for the Midwest Innocence Project. In that role, among other notable accomplishments, Lani contributed to the successful overturning of a 28-year wrongful conviction in the Kansas Court of Appeals.
In law school, Lani served as President of the Black Law Student Association, Diversity Chair of the Student Bar Association, and competed in the Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition.
