Jad advises clients on both executive compensation and employee benefits as well as the international aspects of U.S. tax matters and international asset structuring & succession planning.

In his executive compensation and employee benefits practice, Jad advises clients on a wide variety of issues with respect to tax-qualified retirement plans, including 401(k) plans, 403(b) and 457 plans, nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, equity arrangements, split-dollar life insurance arrangements, COLI, and other forms of executive compensation. He has extensive experience clients on all aspects of tax-qualified and executive and nonqualified deferred compensation plans and arrangements for taxable and tax-exempt employers, employee benefit issues in mergers and acquisitions (including navigating 280G), fiduciary responsibility, and prohibited transaction issues. Jad counsels clients on health and welfare benefit plans encompassing wellness programs, reimbursement accounts (FSAs, HSAs and HRAs), severance programs, cafeteria plans; fringe benefit plans; bonus programs; and advice related to the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, Affordable Care Act, WARN Act, HIPAA and COBRA compliance issues.

In his international tax private client practice, Jad advises clients on the international aspects of U.S. tax matters and international asset structuring and succession planning. Jad has extensive expertise in planning for families and assets exposed to multiple jurisdictions. Jad advises trustees and international families and family offices on planning for U.S. beneficiaries and U.S. investments, expatriation from the United States, pre-immigration tax planning for foreign individuals who plan to become U.S. tax residents, FATCA, FBAR, PFIC, and CRS compliance matters, general international estate structuring and estate administration matters, and international estate and tax treaty analysis.
