Patrick J. Kukalis

Associate

Patrick is a commercial litigator who represents clients in complex disputes across all phases of both state and federal litigation, from early case assessment and motion practice to discovery and trial preparation. He brings a practical, strategic approach to every matter, grounded in a deep understanding of how courts evaluate arguments and how effective advocacy shapes outcomes.

After graduating from law school, Patrick served as a federal law clerk to Judge William S. Stickman IV of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.  His clerkship provided him with a behind-the-scenes perspective into the judicial decision-making process. This experience continues to inform his approach to crafting persuasive arguments and anticipating how courts will respond to them.

Following his clerkship, Patrick practiced at another private law firm in Pittsburgh, where he developed a significant focus on ERISA litigation. His practice strengthened his ability to navigate highly technical statutory schemes and deliver clear, actionable guidance to his clients.

Patrick is a Pittsburgh native, where he resides with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as coaching his kid’s teams.
