Peter focuses his practice in multiple areas of construction law, including construction defect litigation, contract review and analysis, risk management, risk transfer and insurance counseling, and representation of design professionals, construction companies, construction subcontractors and building product suppliers and manufacturers.

With more than 20 years of experience in construction law, Peter has represented sophisticated entities in the construction and design industries, allowing him to efficiently investigate matters, collaborate with leading expert witnesses, and provide tailored risk management, contract analysis, and contract refinement strategies. He represents companies of all sizes, from sole practitioner design professionals to Fortune 500 companies.

Peter believes that a thorough investigation is the foundation of any successful defense strategy. His approach may include detailed contract analysis, extensive review of client sales records, and comprehensive on-site inspections conducted alongside expert witnesses. He carries a strong desire to investigate so he can figure things out with the client, bring as much clarity as possible to what transpired while keeping an eye towards telling the full story. He collaborates with his clients to ensure that they are involved in decision-making informed by his analysis and recommendations. He takes time to learn and understand each client’s business so that he can develop a clear and effective defense strategy.

Outside the construction zone, Peter is a travel enthusiast and strong follower of the airline and hospitality industries. His interest in those fields led him to earn a Master of Professional Studies degree in Global Hospitality Leadership, providing him with greater insight into the business dynamics that drive those sectors. Peter is a Massachusetts native, a Boston sports fan and is happiest wearing hiking boots and a flannel shirt.
