Stephen J. Mattingly


Steve focuses his practice on commercial litigation and tort matters. He has significant experience defending physicians, hospitals and other health care providers in complex alleged medical and hospital negligence cases. Steve frequently litigates cases involving contract disputes, business torts, personal injury and the enforceability of arbitration provisions. He has appellate experience before the Kentucky Court of Appeals, the Kentucky Supreme Court and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Additionally, he has represented banks in federal regulatory proceedings, health care providers before state licensure boards, and clients in federal criminal proceedings. Steve also advises corporate clients on a variety of contract, international trade and general litigation risk matters.
