Elizabeth Serrano

Associate

Elizabeth focuses her practice on trademark and copyright matters, helping clients protect the brands, creative work, and business identities that set them apart in the marketplace. She works with companies of all sizes across a wide range of industries, including the food and beverage sector, the automotive and aftermarket industry, retail and consumer products, and the industrial equipment and machinery industry, guiding them through the steps needed to secure and maintain their intellectual property.

Her experience includes conducting and analyzing trademark searches, preparing and submitting trademark applications, responding to office actions, and managing the filings required to keep registrations active with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She also oversees domestic and international trademark portfolios, assists with disputes before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and advises clients on practical enforcement strategies that support their goals.

In addition to her trademark work, Elizabeth prepares and files copyright applications and counsels clients on safeguarding original content from early planning through protection and enforcement. She approaches each project with an understanding of how intellectual property fits into a broader brand strategy and provides guidance tailored to what matters most for the client’s business.
