Dan’s practice focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis on significant business, product liability, professional liability, and premises liability disputes. He has extensive litigation experience in cases involving complex medical and scientific issues.
He has tried numerous bench and jury trials in state and federal courts and has been engaged as counsel in several cases that resulted in published appellate decisions. Dan has longstanding relationships with several corporate clients and serves as lead litigation counsel and as local, state, or national coordinating counsel. He has extensive experience in managing a varied portfolio of litigation and other liability matters on behalf of corporate clients. Dan provides litigation counsel to other law firms in connection with professional liability claims and lawsuits. Various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and court-sponsored settlement conferences, are mandatory in many jurisdictions. Clients appreciate Dan’s meticulous preparation and tenacity when handling alternative dispute resolution and litigation.
Dan is admitted to practice pro hac vice before many state and federal courts outside of Indiana and speaks at both continuing legal education and client sponsored seminars on litigation-related topics.
