Mario concentrates his practice on intellectual property litigation and enforcement. He represents clients in state and federal courts in patent, trademark, and copyright disputes, including actions for injunctive relief and declaratory judgments arising from online marketplace enforcement and product delistings. Mario also has experience handling Amazon takedown matters and APEX proceedings, advising clients on marketplace disputes and rights enforcement strategies. His practice is further supported by experience in intellectual property strategy, including patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution and copyright terminations.
Mario is currently serving a two-year term as an Intellectual Property Fellow for the American Bar Association, while also serving as the Committee Chair for the ABA-Intellectual Property Law Young Lawyers Division.
He received his Master of Law (LL.M.) from UC Berkeley School of Law with High Honors along with a certificate in intellectual property. Mario served in leadership roles while at UC Berkeley, including as Class President and Associate Editor for the Berkeley Technology Journal, and he was selected to be a member of the Samuelson Law, Technology, and Intellectual Property Clinic.
Prior to graduate school, Mario attended the University of Miami School of Law while clerking at local intellectual property boutique firms.
Mario also interned at the Miami Dade State Attorney’s office where he gained trial experience serving as first and second chair on criminal trials.
