Cesar focuses his practice on intellectual property enforcement and related commercial disputes, helping businesses protect the innovations and brand identities that set them apart. He advises clients in navigating complex litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and unfair competition and his service includes representation before federal and state courts.
He has contributed to several high stakes matters, including a federal jury trial involving trademark infringement and counterfeiting, and a bench trial for injunctive relief before the Delaware Court of Chancery. These experiences have sharpened his ability to manage intellectual property litigation and deliver technical and nuanced support on behalf of his clients and their innovations.
While at law school, Cesar completed two judicial externships and served as a Staff Editor for the Review of Intellectual Property. He received a concentration in intellectual property law and was selected to the Order of Barristers for exceptional achievement in oral advocacy.
Cesar is actively involved in the intellectual property community and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Committee within the Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. In this role, he helps foster collaboration and professional development among emerging IP practitioners.
