Anubhav ("Anu") Sharma

Biography

Anubhav (“Anu”) focuses his practice on counseling clients in patent law. Anu tailors his counseling according to the particular situations and needs of each client, including portfolio analysis, patentability searches and opinions, and management of patent strategy of domestic and foreign patent applications. Anu genuinely has a passion for collaborating with inventors and discussing their invention.

His experience includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the electrical, computer software, and mechanical arts. Such technologies are representative of image processing, semiconductors, circuit design, telecommunications, data compression, cryptography, smart cards, user interfaces, interactive media systems, automotive systems, consumer appliances, medical devices and monitoring systems, e-commerce and business methods, food processing, and chemical detection. He also has experience in post-grant proceedings and ex parte appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to joining Dinsmore, Anu worked as a patent attorney at an intellectual property law firm in Cleveland and an international law firm in Washington, D.C. During law school, Anu worked as a patent agent at a law firm in Boston. He was also an extern at the USPTO in Technology Center 2100 (Computer Architecture and Software). Prior to entering the practice of law, Anu interned at two major university technology transfer offices, and was a software engineer intern for a start-up company that focused on image processing.

Anu received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
