Brian M. Fane

Biography

Brian has degrees in chemical engineering and focuses his practice on intellectual property and patent prosecution. He has extensive experience drafting patent applications, responding to USPTO office actions, reviewing invention disclosures to determine patentable features, preparing office action response strategies for foreign counsel in most relevant jurisdictions, conducting the entire invention intake process, and conducting freedom to operate/risk analysis on various chemical and mechanical designs. He received his J.D. from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School. Before law school, he worked as a patent agent at Dinsmore and in the Technology Transfer department of the University of Tennessee Research Foundation.
