Dinsmore is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant at our Dayton, OH location who will support multiple attorneys in connection with general corporate work, business acquisitions and securities.

Responsibilities

  • Help to manage individual attorney calendars which could include scheduling meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements; learn departmental docketing system as necessary
  • Open and maintain client files
  • Provide clerical support to the attorneys and paralegals
  • Coordinate the monthly client billing process
  • Provide backup overflow assistance to legal administrative assistants as needed

Requirements

  • Experience with maintaining, reviewing and drafting corporate documentation, correspondence and reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent word processing skills and intermediate-level use of Microsoft Office Suite, .pdf editing software, and related legal software, including electronic document management systems iManage/FileSite, PowerPoint, and Outlook a plus
  • Familiarity with basic online resources
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to multi-task
  • Proven success as a positive team player, as well as an independent worker
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid work history including 3-5 years supporting multiple attorneys/paralegals
  • Experience in transactional work
  • Other duties as necessary
