Construction Law Associate Columbus, OH

Dinsmore has an opportunity available for a construction associate in the Columbus, Ohio office.  The position requires 1 - 5 years of experience for someone with a background or demonstrable interest in construction law.  An undergraduate degree in architecture, engineering or construction management is preferred.  The associate would be expected to support both the transactional and litigation needs of the construction practice group. Experience in the construction industry is a plus.  All candidates should have a strong academic background and have excellent research, writing, analytical and communication skills.  Out of state candidates, who are either willing to sit for the Ohio Bar Exam or eligible for admission in Ohio, will be considered.


Commercial Finance and Banking Associates Cincinnati, OH Columbus, OH

Dinsmore has two immediate opportunities available for commercial finance and banking associates in the Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio offices. Both positions require two to four years of experience with commercial finance and banking transactions. Health Care Associate Cincinnati, OH

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for a health care associate in the Cincinnati, Ohio office.  Candidates must have a minimum of five years of health care regulatory and transactional experience. Experience with state and federal agency audits and investigations and FDA compliance in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is preferred.

Intellectual Property Associates Detroit, MI

Dinsmore has two immediate opportunities available for intellectual property associates in the Detroit, Michigan office.

The first opportunity requires a mechanical engineering background and a minimum of three years of experience drafting patent applications and licensing agreements. Courtroom and trademark experience is preferred. 

The second opportunity requires a minimum of three years of experience and a material science, chemical engineering or chemistry background.  An advance degree in these disciplines and/or industry experience is preferred but not required. 

Qualified candidates should have prosecution experience for both opportunities and can look forward to a practice that will include extensive involvement in risk assessment analyses and opinion work, in addition to a baseline docket of patent preparation and prosecution.

Staff Positions

Director of Library Services Cincinnati, OH

Dinsmore has an immediate need for a director of library services, who is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day research and knowledge management functions for the firm. This position will establish the library as a resource for forward thinking information solutions designed to serve the needs of the firm and its clients.

  • Manage costs; prepare and manage the annual library budget
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and oversee the delivery of services including reference, research, instruction, and orientation. Also, ensure the value of the firm's investment in research tools through continuous monitoring and development of print and digital collections
  • Set and meet exemplary service standards for everyone that interacts with the library staff

Desktop Engineer Cincinnati, OH

The desktop engineer position is to provide technical support for the firm's computer systems, applications and related technology with Dinsmore.  Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair computer hardware, software and peripherals. This includes, but is not limited to, support for all firm approved desktops, laptops, peripheral equipment, mobile devices, video-conferencing equipment, network and software.  Document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems according to the firm's policies and procedures. Facilitate escalation of problems, issues and requests to other IT department roles as necessary.  Participate in and contribute to various IT department projects and initiatives. Maintain positive contact with attorneys, staff and clients and observe confidentiality in all firm and client matters.

Docket Clerk Cleveland, OH

Dinsmore is seeking a full time intellectual property docket clerk in our Cleveland, Ohio office. This docket clerk will be responsible for reviewing, extracting salient information and inputting of that information from the patent and trademark office’s communications and foreign and domestic incoming client related communications into the firm’s docketing software on a daily basis.

Business Intake Clerk Cincinnati, OH

This individual is responsible for performing conflict of interest searches and preparing meaningful reports based on search results.

Competitive Intelligence Analyst Cincinnati, OH

The competitive intelligence analyst conducts competitive intelligence on companies, industries, clients and law firms to identify market conditions, trends and opportunities for business development. File Clerk Dayton, OH

Dinsmore has an immediate opening for a file clerk in our Dayton, Ohio office. This clerk will be responsible to pull and re-file files, print incoming emails, document location and status of files, forward information to appropriate parties, and assist in mail room. 

Candidates must be very detail oriented, dependable and have a strong work ethic. Candidates must also have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
