  • Performs training and delivers curriculum with agreed upon agenda
  • Assists in the creation and ongoing updates to all training material
  • Acts as a strong advocate regarding new technology training at the firm and leads training and development initiatives when assigned
  • Contributes and/or recommends the development of training programs for new and updated software rollouts to meet the needs of the individual practice areas. Develops training programs to enhance a practice area's ability to utilize technology resources and provide a competitive advantage for the firm
  • Participates in the development and coordination of teaching aids such as outlines, handouts, instructions, tip sheets, and other reference material
  • Acts independently to determine when training deficiencies require new training programs
  • Identifies technology skill gaps of practice areas or specific users by analyzing incoming Practice Support Projects and individual user training requests in order to develop training programs for the firm
  • Makes recommendations to Trainers, Supervisors, and HR regarding training programs while creating methods for proper instruction
  • Participates in the evaluation, testing, and quality assurance of new software applications and updates from a training and practice area perspective
  • Translates technology related business specifications into user documentation.

  • Assists in the implementation of best practices related to workflow, case management document management and practice technology
  • Researches and recommends legal technology for specific practice areas

Dinsmore & Shohl is seeking a billing clerk for our Cincinnati location.  This position will be responsible for the daily billing functions including time and cost transfers, write-downs, computer bills, special bills, void/rebills, and attorney inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all aspects of billing for assigned attorneys and clients in accordance with firm policies and procedures
  • Coordinates all aspects of electronic billing through client electronic billing sites and E-billing Hub as required by clients
  • Reviews, edits, and processes pre-bills
  • Reviews pre-bills to ensure accurate application of retainers, on account expenses, on account fees, unapplied and trust funds
  • Performs various reconciliation and monitoring adjustments to ensure final invoice to client is accurate, including write offs, rate overrides, etc.
  • Communicates with billing attorneys and/or secretaries regarding billing matters
  • Prepares final invoices for transmittal to clients
  • Prints computer bills and provides secretaries with PDF copy
