Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for a Litigation Associate with 1-4 years of litigation experience to join our Lexington, KY office in the Tort Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation analysis, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, handling complex discovery and ESI, attending court conferences, and preparing cases for trial. Product liability, toxic tort, and warranty experience is preferred. This position is open to judicial clerkship candidates seeking employment after their clerkship concludes. The role will provide client-facing responsibilities, court experience, case management ownership, and opportunities to advance in a dynamic law firm.
All candidates should have a strong academic background, and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. A license to practice in Kentucky and familiarity with the Kentucky state and federal court system is required. Out of state candidates who are willing to sit for the Kentucky bar exam, or eligible for admission in Kentucky will be considered. Qualified candidates can look forward to a practice that will include significant client contact and handling all aspects of complex product liability, toxic tort, warranty, and commercial matters for local, regional and national clients.
