Dinsmore is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant at our Cincinnati, OH location to support our Public Finance team. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented and interested in working as part of a team with the ability to manage multiple priorities and with an understanding of the cycle of a municipal bond financing transaction.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with lawyers on the preparation of documentation for municipal bond offerings/borrowings, including drafting documents and opinion letters; organizing, proofreading and assembling documents; and coordinating closing logistics
  • Conduct due-diligence; gathering and organizing financial data related to bond issuers and borrowers from public sources
  • Prepare and file UCC Financing Statements; researching industry databases, publicly-available information from local governments and other sources, and assisting lawyers with reviewing the applicable law

Requirements

  • Experience with transactional documents and procedures or similar type work is required
  • Successful candidates typically have experience processing closing/settlement documents and are familiar with the closing process
  • Ability to manage and track multiple bond closings simultaneously
  • Organizational abilities and attention to detail are essential
  • Ability to professionally communicate with clients via email and telephone
  • Must portray a polished, professional demeanor, and be able to maintain confidentiality while handling both client-related work as well as administrative duties as it relates to the Office Managing Partner’s responsibilities
  • Must be able to manage attorney communications, prepare and process documents, write clearly and concisely and maintain schedules and calendars
  • The successful candidate will be self-directed, high energy with advanced computer skills
