Liane H. Rousseau

Biography

Liane focuses her practice on intellectual property law, including trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and privacy law. She routinely advises clients concerning brand protection, trademark registration, licensing agreements and trademark, trade dress and copyright enforcement and defense. Her practice gives her the chance to work with clients across different industries and provide solutions to their unique needs and problems. 

She has extensive litigation experience in federal courts and with the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Her transactional experience includes drafting and negotiating intellectual property, technology, and privacy-related agreements, including trademark and software licenses, intellectual property acquisition agreements, SaaS agreements, independent contractor agreements, global privacy policies, and website terms of use, all while ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulations, including data protection laws such as the GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and COPPA.

She previously worked in the commercial legal department of a publicly traded global clinical research organization where she learned the necessity of approaching any legal issue with flexibility.
