Christopher “Chris” L. Emerson

Associate

With a practical approach to patent law, Chris works closely with clients to align intellectual property strategies with their business goals—whether they’re launching a new product, expanding a patent portfolio, or navigating time-sensitive filings. He helps identify opportunities within existing patent families, drafts targeted applications under tight deadlines, and provides thoughtful analysis on the potential enforceability and commercial value of patents.

Before entering the legal field, Chris gained hands-on experience in fast-paced environments—from working the grill at McDonald’s to supporting engineering and maintenance teams at UPS and Ford. These experiences ground his pragmatic approach in resolving legal issues efficiently and expeditiously, and inform Chris’s understanding of the real-world challenges businesses face when innovating and operating under budget and time constraints. Today, he brings that same work ethic and insight to his legal practice, supporting companies of all sizes to ensure their innovations are protected and positioned for sustainable growth.
