Ken concentrates his practice on patent preparation and prosecution across a broad range of electrical, computer, and physics-related technologies. His work includes drafting and managing patent applications involving analog and digital circuitry, RF and wireless systems, satellite and telecommunications technologies, optical communication networks, semiconductor memory control systems, and antenna and network design. He also handles matters related to sensors inclduing NMR and EPR device sensors, quantum and superconducting computing architecture, microprocessor design, gesture-recognition technologies, encryption methods, optical imaging, RADAR and LIDAR systems, semiconductor fabrication techniques, motor control, and power generation and storage systems.

A significant part of Ken’s practice involves collaborating with inventors, engineers, and in-house legal teams to evaluate innovations at an early stage. He develops patentability strategies, conducts prior art evaluations, and helps clients determine the appropriate scope of protection for their innovations. His experience working with legal teams and patent offices around the world gives him practical insight into securing protection both in the U.S. and in international jurisdictions.

Before becoming a patent attorney, Ken worked as an electrical and controls engineer designing control systems for industrial equipment. His engineering background, including time spent leading an electrical design group, continues to guide his approach to complex technologies and helps him communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
