Liane regularly advises established businesses, startups, and individuals on the development, protection, and commercialization of intellectual property assets. Her work includes negotiating and drafting licenses and agreements across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on software and technology agreements. She also has significant experience with healthcare, manufacturing, and distribution agreements, as well as general service agreements and intellectual property licenses.
Liane also works with clients to navigate the different legal challenges associated with marketing and branding strategies. She regularly negotiates advertising and marketing agreements, agreements for artist services, influencer contracts, and music and other art licenses. She advises clients regarding developments in entertainment and branding law, including FCC disclosure requirements, SAG-AFTRA rules, and the different aspects of performance rights.
In addition to advising clients regarding their corporate and business matters, Liane’s practice also involves trademark and copyright prosecution and enforcement. She helps manage domestic and foreign trademark portfolios for clients and provides counsel on trademark selection, clearance, and global strategy. Liane has experience defending her clients’ trademark rights through intellectual property litigation in both federal court and in front of the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
