Marcus A. Hughes

Associate

Marcus focuses his practice on commercial real estate, advising developers, property owners, borrowers, investors, and public entities on financing, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and development matters involving multifamily, office, retail, and industrial properties.

A significant portion of his work involves helping clients navigate economic development and public financing programs that support real estate projects and business growth. He counsels clients on tax increment financing districts, community reinvestment area abatements, job creation tax credits, and other incentive programs, as well as transactions involving low-income housing tax credits, historic tax credits, and new markets tax credits. Marcus also assists clients with bond financing and port authority leasing structures.

Prior to joining Dinsmore, Marcus served in the Economic Development Division of the City of Cincinnati Law Department, where he worked on a variety of economic development initiatives and public-sector matters.

Outside of his practice, Marcus is active in the Cincinnati community through volunteer efforts that support local students and youth programs.
