Jarman J. Smith

Associate

Jarman focuses his practice on business transactions and corporate counseling, including a focus on cybersecurity and data privacy law.  He also has extensive experience handling trademark, copyright and trade secrets law matters. His knowledge of consumer data protection regulations and intellectual property law allows him to deliver specialized guidance to businesses and organizations of all sizes.

He provides incident response assistance in the event an organization experiences a data breach and counsels companies through liability issues concerning data processing. His focus in intellectual property includes assisting companies with the establishment and prosecution of intellectual property rights, maintenance of intellectual property registrations, and enforcement of intellectual property rights. He also drafts, reviews and revises contracts involving corporate transactions, licensing of intellectual property, and technology. Jarman is able to deliver valuable assistance to his clients through evolving legal issues regarding advancements in technology.

Outside of the practice of law, Jarman emphasizes the importance of positively impacting the community through his engagement in various initiatives, programs and charitable activities.
