Lateral Positions

Litigation Associate
San Diego, CA
 

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for a litigation associate in the San Diego office. Candidates must have 2-5 years of general commercial litigation experience, including experience taking depositions, arguing motions and preparing cases for trial. Familiarity with the California court system is a must. Experience with employment law is a plus but not necessary. Additionally, all candidates should be licensed to practice in California, have a strong academic background and possess excellent communication skills.

Litigation Associate
Wheeling, WV

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity for a litigation attorney in our Wheeling, West Virginia office. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation and experience working on asbestos and workers’ compensation matters is preferred. A license to practice in West Virginia is required and preferably a Pennsylvania and/or Ohio license. Familiarity with the West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio court system is a plus.  Additionally, all candidates should have a strong academic background and possess excellent communication skills.

Intellectual Property Transactions Associate
San Diego, CA

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available in San Diego for a transactional Associate in our Intellectual Property Department. This position calls for 3 – 5 years of experience with technology transactions, intellectual property (patent) and technology licensing, software agreements, collaboration agreements, joint venture agreements, and experience with intellectual property issues arising in corporate/commercial transactional contexts (e.g., mergers and acquisitions, funding/investment, etc.). Qualified candidates should also have patent prosecution or patent litigation experience in technology areas such as computer, electrical, or mechanical, and/or patent portfolio management expertise, and can look forward to a practice that will include significant client contact, a diverse range of work, including structuring, drafting and negotiating technology agreements, related client counseling, and other types of patent-, technology-, and licensing-related matters. Ideal candidates will be licensed to practice in California (or licensed in another state and qualified to sit for the CA bar exam) and admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Commercial Litigation/Debt Restructuring Associate
Philadelphia (Wayne), PA

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity for a Commercial Litigation/Debt Restructuring associate in our Wayne, Pennsylvania office.  Candidates must have five to seven years of general commercial litigation experience and be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Experience with commercial real estate and distressed debt is strongly preferred.  Additionally, all candidates should have a strong academic background and possess excellent communication skills.

Estate Planning Associate
Cincinnati, OH

Dinsmore has an excellent opportunity for an Associate in our Corporate Department in the Cincinnati office.  Applicants must have three to five years of estate planning experience.  The Associate would work in the Estate Planning Practice Group and responsibilities include counseling clients and assisting in estate planning, estate administration, fiduciary services, and advising clients in other matters.  Specific transactional and estate planning experience, as well as a general familiarity with basic tax concepts, would be a plus.  A license to practice law in Ohio is required.

The Groton office is seeking an Intellectual Property Associate in our Groton, Connecticut office. This position requires 2 – 5 years of experience and a life science/chemistry background. Any combination of education/experience will be considered, although candidates with a PhD and postdoctoral experience are preferred.




Labor and Employment Associate
Morgantown, WV

The Morgantown office of Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for a Labor & Employment Associate.  Candidates must have a minimum of four years of experience advising employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws and defending litigation alleging discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and violation of wage laws. Experience in dealing with the National Labor Relations Board and familiarity with federal labor law will be considered. Additionally, all candidates should be licensed to practice in West Virginia.

Dinsmore has an immediate opening for a paralegal to join the business immigration practice.  

We seek a candidate with either a paralegal certificate or a bachelor's degree in any field, as well as experience in a position involving analytical, writing, and organizational skills. Intellectual Property Legal Secretary

Systems Analyst
Cincinnati, OH

Dinsmore, a national corporate law firm, has an immediate opening for a Financial Systems Analyst. The Financial Systems Analyst will support the Finance/Accounting Department by assisting with the ongoing maintenance, enhancement and customization of the Aderant Expert accounting system and other Firm business intelligence and reporting tools.  

Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Provide technical support for the Aderant Expert application and ancillary systems, including being the front line resource to respond to questions and issues surrounding use of the applications.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving help desk tickets related to the Aderant Expert application and ancillary systems.
  • Primary support contact for Accounting software vendors and consultants.
  • Plan, design and implement features, templates and modules in Aderant Expert.
  • Responsible for documenting, creating, testing, and maintaining Aderant Expert workflows.
  • Monitor and perform general maintenance and month-end processes on Accounting servers.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in the support and maintenance of financial systems.
  • Must provide accurate work of high quality and have the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth working knowledge with MS SQL and Access databases.Must have strong understanding of database structures and collection of data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective and professional interaction with internal and external contacts, in technical and non-technical manners.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation and/or SQL Server Reporting Services would be beneficial.
