Lateral Positions

Health Care Associate Cincinnati, OH

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for a Health Care Associate in the Cincinnati, Ohio office.  Candidates must have a minimum of five years of health care regulatory and transactional experience. Experience with state and federal agency audits and investigations and FDA compliance in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is preferred.

Additionally, all candidates should be licensed to practice in Ohio, have a strong academic background, and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Out of state candidates who are either willing to sit for the Ohio bar exam or eligible for admission in Ohio will be considered.


Litigation Associate Chicago, IL

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity for a litigation Associate in the Chicago, Illinois office. Candidates must have 4-6 years of general commercial litigation experience, including experience taking depositions, arguing motions, handling appellate work, and preparing cases for trial. Experience with bank and real estate litigation is a plus, but not necessary.  A license to practice in Illinois and familiarity with the Illinois court system is required. All candidates should have a strong academic background, and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.


Litigation Associates San Diego, CA 

Dinsmore has an immediate need for Litigation Associates in the San Diego, California office.  Candidates must have 2-8 years of general commercial litigation experience, including experience taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial. Familiarity with the California and federal court systems is required. Experience with employment law is a plus, but not necessary.  Additionally, all candidates should be licensed to practice in California, have a strong academic background, and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available in San Diego, California, Cincinnati, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois, for a transactional Associate in our Intellectual Property Department. This position calls for 3 – 5 years of experience with technology transactions, intellectual property (patent) and technology licensing, software agreements, collaboration agreements, joint venture agreements, and experience with intellectual property issues arising in corporate/commercial transactional contexts (e.g., mergers and acquisitions, funding/investment, etc.).     Dinsmore has a Legal Secretary opening in our Lexington, KY office. This secretary will support multiple attorneys in the Intellectual Property practice group.  Preferred candidates will have experience working with Intellectual Property attorneys as well as other practice groups.

    This position includes the traditional legal secretarial responsibilities such as reviewing and communicating docket to attorneys & paralegals, creating new files as needed, maintaining calendars, time entry, client billing and general administrative duties.

    Legal Secretary Chicago, IL

    Dinsmore has an immediate opening in the Chicago, Illinois office for an experienced, poised and professional Litigation Secretary who will support multiple attorneys primarily in connection with complex commercial litigation. This secretarial position will include traditional legal secretarial responsibilities including filings, client management, billing, time entry, formatting, proofreading and editing of documents, travel arrangements, and other legal assistant functions. We seek candidates that are self-directed, high energy, and have advanced computer skills.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with litigation support.
    • Strong experience calendaring litigation deadlines.
    • Ideal candidate will have working knowledge and understanding of State and Federal court rules and procedures, including Illinois collar counties.
    • Strong filing / e-filing experience in State and Federal courts, ECF and Pacer.

    Docket Clerk Detroit (Troy), MI

    Dinsmore is seeking a full time Intellectual Property Docket Clerk in our Troy, Michigan office. This Docket Clerk will be responsible for reviewing, extracting salient information and inputting of that information from the Patent and Trademark Office’s communications and foreign and domestic incoming client related communications into the firm’s docketing software on a daily basis.

    Requirements:

    • Candidate will be adaptable to specific docketing procedures as established by the firm and by our clients.
    • Applicant will be required to prepare and distribute docket reports and customized queries and maintain our docketing database.
    • Must have overall knowledge and understanding of domestic and foreign procurement process for patents and trademarks and will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and have the ability to work independently, as well as being a team player.
    • Strong computer skills are mandatory
    • Experience with CPI web based experience preferred.

    File Clerk Ann Arbor, MI 

    Dinsmore has an immediate opening for a File Clerk in our Ann Arbor, Michigan office. This clerk will be responsible to pull and re-file files, print incoming emails, document location and status of files, forward information to appropriate parties, and assist in mailroom. 

    Candidates must be very detail oriented, dependable and have a strong work ethic. Candidates must also have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

    This is a part time position working 20 hours per week.

    Essential Functions:

    • Files, delivers and retrieves client documents as needed.
    • Prepare IP form letters and open new client files.
    • Answer questions concerning records and filings.
    • Keep records of materials filed or removed, using logbooks or computers.
    • Add new material to file records, and create new records as necessary.
    • Gathers materials to be filed from departments and employees.
    • Find and retrieve information from files in response to requests from attorneys.
    • Place materials into storage receptacles, such as file cabinets, boxes, bins or drawers, according to classification and identification information.

    Accounts Receivable Clerk Cincinnati, OH

    Dinsmore has an exciting opening in our Cincinnati office for an Accounts Receivable Clerk!

    The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for collecting and monitoring the Firm's Accounts Receivable while ensuring compliance with the Firm's credit and collections policies and procedures.

    Essential Functions:

    • Tracks, monitors and actively pursues collection of unpaid invoices for the Firm's multiple locations.
    • Works closely with billing attorneys in order to determine best course of action on a delinquent client account.
    • Reviews the status of delinquent accounts and contacts clients and/or billing attorney regarding outstanding balances.
    • Constantly reconciles delinquent client accounts to insure client maintains agreed upon payment schedules.
    • Handles AR inquiries, researches discrepancies and provides printed snapshots of account activity to billing attorney and/or client as needed.
    • Processes credit card payments over phone and applies to client balance.
    • Answers Firm's Accounts Receivable phone line as needed, provides callers with pay history and account balances. If necessary, refers client complaints to Accounts Receivable Manager.
    • Periodically analyzes assigned attorney's books of business to recognize potential collection issues.
    • Coordinate the preparation of required analysis of billed and collected fees of individual clients.
    • Scans related AR documents into CMS as needed.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned.
    • Follows all Firm established accounting policies and procedures.

    Project Assistant Charleston, WV 

    Dinsmore has an immediate opening in their Charleston, West Virginia office for a full-time, experienced Project Coordinator to assist the Real Estate and Commercial Finance practice groups. This position requires consistent management of multiple aspects of real estate, finance and development project files.

    Essential Functions:

    • Applicants must be extremely organized and detail oriented. 
    • Required experience in commercial real estate title examinations and preparation of related title reports.
    • Candidate must have familiarity with title insurance products and basic underwriting requirements. 
    • Strong Ability to prepare settlement statements and related documentation for commercial real estate closings.

    Event Production Assistant Cincinnati, OH

    Dinsmore is looking for a highly creative and motivated individual to coordinate the graphic design and production for all media types including print and digital communications, promotional collateral and onsite signage for all external and internal Firm events. The Event Production Assistant will work directly with the Chief Marketing Officer, Event Manager and Creative Services Manager to execute the production deliverables for events while ensuring that brand consistency is achieved and production schedules are met.

    Graphic Design Responsibilities:

    Print Production:

    Immigration Paralegal Cincinnati, OH
