Immigration Attorney Cincinnati, OH

Dinsmore & Shohl has an immediate opportunity for a business immigration attorney in Cincinnati, Ohio. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of one year of business-related immigration practice experience or involvement, demonstrated commitment to immigration work, and excellent case management skills. Areas of practice include handling visa matters for U.S. and foreign employers, proactive client counseling, and I-9 compliance. Additionally, all candidates should be licensed to practice law in a US jurisdiction, have a strong academic background, and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Litigation Associate Lexington, KY

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity for a litigation Associate in our Lexington, Kentucky office. Candidates must have 3-5 years of general commercial litigation experience, including experience taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial. A license to practice in Kentucky and familiarity with the Kentucky court system is required. All candidates should have a strong academic background, and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Litigation Associate Pittsburgh, PA

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity for a litigation attorney in our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office. Candidates must have 5-7 years of general commercial litigation experience, including experience taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial. Knowledge of insurance matters is a plus. A license to practice in Pennsylvania and familiarity with the Pennsylvania court system is a required. Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for a litigation associate in the San Diego office. Candidates must have 2-5 years of general commercial litigation experience, including experience taking depositions, arguing motions and preparing cases for trial. Familiarity with the California court system is a must. Experience with employment law is a plus but not necessary. Additionally, all candidates should be licensed to practice in California, have a strong academic background and possess excellent communication skills.

Tax Attorney Louisville, KY •  Lexington, KY  • Cincinnati, OH • Columbus, OH •  Chicago, IL

Dinsmore & Shohl has an immediate opportunity available for a Tax attorney in Louisville or Lexington, Kentucky, Cincinnati or Columbus, Ohio, or Chicago, Illinois. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of core tax experience, including counseling and advising clients on transactional matters with all aspects of corporate tax, partnership and income tax planning, corporate franchise, real estate tax, and other general business and regulatory matters. A CPA license or LLM in taxation is not required, but is a plus. Estate Planning Associate Cincinnati, OH

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for an Associate in our Estate Planning Practice Group. Applicants must have three to five years of estate planning experience. The Associate would work in the Estate Planning Practice Group and responsibilities include counseling clients and assisting in estate planning, estate administration, fiduciary services, and advising clients in other matters. Specific transactional and estate planning experience, as well as a general familiarity with basic tax concepts, would be a plus. A license to practice in Ohio is required. This position calls for 3 – 5 years of experience with technology transactions, intellectual property (patent) and technology licensing, software agreements, collaboration agreements, joint venture agreements, and experience with intellectual property issues arising in corporate/commercial transactional contexts (e.g., mergers and acquisitions, funding/investment, etc.). Qualified candidates should also have patent prosecution or patent litigation experience in technology areas such as computer, electrical, or mechanical, and/or patent portfolio management expertise, and can look forward to a practice that will include significant client contact, a diverse range of work, including structuring, drafting and negotiating technology agreements, related client counseling, and other types of patent-, technology-, and licensing-related matters. Labor and Employment Associate Morgantown, WV

The Morgantown office of Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for a Labor & Employment Associate.  Candidates must have a minimum of four years of experience advising employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws and defending litigation alleging discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and violation of wage laws. Experience in dealing with the National Labor Relations Board and familiarity with federal labor law will be considered. Additionally, all candidates should be licensed to practice in West Virginia.

Staff Positions

Trademark Paralegal Cleveland, OH

Dinsmore & Shohl currently has an exciting opportunity for a Trademark Paralegal to focus on trademark law. This is a full time opportunity in Cleveland, Ohio.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of Intellectual Property experience. This position requires a college degree or paralegal diploma/certificate.

Job Requirements

  • Assist with preparing and filing trademark applications and responses to office actions
  • Communicate with foreign associates regarding filings and registrations
  • Conduct trademark infringement searches using the USPTO website
  • Maintain trademark registrations before the USPTO
  • Support the efforts of the firm’s trademark attorneys to plan and implement international registration strategies
  • Perform database searches for availability of marks and follow-up needed regarding same
  • Work with the IP docketing team to ensure docket update
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must, as well as strong technical and database skills
  • Experience with Anaqua and CPI a plus

Intellectual Property Paralegal Washington, DC

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP currently has an excellent opportunity for an Intellectual Property Paralegal with at least three years of patent law experience. This is a full time opportunity in our Washington D.C. office.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years Intellectual Property experience and have previous Foreign Filing experience, and strong computer and research skills. General knowledge of Intellectual Property filing and Prosecution rules/regulations is required. Experience using CPI docketing software is a plus. Candidates should be detail oriented, highly skilled, flexible and have the ability to prioritize a busy workload.   • Reviewing and organizing files, reviewing docket for deadlines.

Office Services Clerk Cincinnati, OH

To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Sorts, distributes and meters USPS mail with knowledge of current postal rates
  • Receives, documents, organizes and mails out client packages e.g Fed Ex/UPS parcel deliveries, carrier services etc. Can include preparing express shipment labels, administering postage, completing certified mail cards, and applying postage.
  • Stocks general office supplies
  • Cleans office kitchens including refrigerators and keeps kitchen supplies stocked and available for partners and employees
  • Cleans and inspects all office conference rooms to ensure they are ready for business use
  • Sets up water/coffee/soda and any requested food order in reserved conference rooms
