Biography

Brent is an intellectual property attorney who focuses on crafting comprehensive patent portfolios rooted in value-driven strategies across diverse technology domains. Drawing upon his previous roles as both an engineer and a patent examiner, Brent uniquely understands the intricate intersection of innovation, law, and technology. His strategic guidance extends beyond traditional legal boundaries, ensuring that his clients' intellectual property aligns seamlessly with their business objectives, and that intellectual property becomes a driving force for innovation and growth.

With a broad spectrum of experience, Brent is adept at preparing and prosecuting patent applications both domestically and internationally. He focuses on a wide array of technologies, including artificial intelligence, autonomous and electric vehicles, semiconductors, telecommunications, medical devices, network security and antivirus, and cloud computing. He thrives on delving into the nuances of technology landscapes, analyzing competitor products, and strategically positioning his clients' patent portfolios for maximal value and protection, providing clients with comprehensive insights that extend beyond mere legal protection. His experience allows him to effectively guide clients through the patenting process, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their intellectual property landscape.

Before entering the legal profession, Brent served as an electronics engineer for the Department of Defense, where he specialized in undersea systems and support technologies.  Apart from his professional successes, Brent has a genuine passion for trails and the outdoors. He's spent numerous summers actively involved in restoring, maintaining, and revitalizing different portions of the Continental Divide Trail.
