April M. Garbuz

Biography

April represents clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, products liability, and unfair and deceptive business practices. She has experience guiding clients through all stages of litigation in state and federal courts, from early case strategy and discovery to dispositive motions and trial preparation, with a practical and efficient approach that aligns with clients’ business goals.

In addition to her litigation practice, April counsels clients on privacy and data security issues, helping companies navigate compliance with state, federal, and international privacy laws, including BIPA, the CCPA, and GDPR. She further advises on privacy policies, incident response, and best practices for data governance, working to mitigate risk while supporting the operational needs of her clients.

With her combined experience in high-stakes litigation and privacy counseling, April provides her clients well-rounded strategies to proactively manage risk while still advancing their business objectives. She is committed to clear, actionable advice that helps clients make informed decisions in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
