Dinsmore San Diego Attorneys Named 2018 Super Lawyers, Rising Star

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to announce four of its attorneys have been named to the San Diego 2018 Super Lawyers list and one named a 2018 Rising Star. Attorneys on the Super Lawyers list are selected by a multi-phase process that takes into account independent research, peer evaluations and professional achievement. The exclusive list recognizes no more than five percent of attorneys.

Dinsmore San Diego Super Lawyers:

Mikel R. Bistrow is a partner in Dinsmore’s corporate & transactional department with a vast practice that includes commercial finance and lending. Her finance clients include lenders and borrowers in documenting, negotiating and restructuring real and personal property loans and secured transactions. Bistrow is a founding member of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum and a former member of its board of directors as well as a former member of the board of directors of the California Bankruptcy Forum. She also serves as a mediator for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California.

Adriana Cara is a partner in Dinsmore’s employment, labor and benefits department where her clients range among size and industry. Her clients include public employers, non-profit corporations, and those in private sector industries. Additionally, Cara has significant experience conducting sexual harassment training, as well as workplace investigations on behalf of employers in connection with allegations of discrimination and harassment. She was named in the 92009 Magazine as an Inspiring Role Model and was featured in the San Diego Union-Tribune’s “People Who Define San Diego County.”

Christopher Celentino is a partner in Dinsmore’s corporate department and focuses his practice on creditor's rights, fiduciary services litigation, business reorganization and workouts, and insolvency and bankruptcy law. He has knowledge in mechanic's lien law and related construction litigation matters, as well as family law and related dissolution matters. His creditor's rights practice emphasizes representing lenders and borrowers in workout and restructuring of commercial loans, secured transactions, and lease transactions, and pursuit of creditor's remedies in commercial litigation matters.

Joseph S. Leventhal is the office managing partner of the San Diego office and a member of Dinsmore’s litigation department focusing on representing clients of all sizes. Leventhal has successfully represented high-profile companies in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters. His practice spans all areas of business litigation, including the defense of class actions, patent litigation, complex contract matters and white collar defense.  This is the fifth year that Leventhal has been named to the Super Lawyers list.  He was previously named to the San Diego Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” list and a “Top Attorney” for Corporate Litigation by the San Diego Daily Transcript

Dinsmore San Diego Rising Star:

Candace Moon is a partner in Dinsmore’s beer, wine and spirits practice group and focuses on the craft beer industry. She has counseled craft breweries on issues such as business entity formation, alcoholic beverage law, contract review, and trademark law. She has also spoken to brewers guilds and at brewers association meetings nationwide on matters such as distribution laws and trademarks to ensure clients and breweries-in-planning are complying with industry standards and regulations.
