Chris is a litigator specializing in intellectual property and complex commercial disputes, helping clients resolve problems involving patents, technology, and other business matters. He combines a technical background in chemical engineering with significant litigation experience and acumen gained from serving in diverse roles within the U.S. government. Clients in medical device, consumer products, and other industries turn to Chris for his ability to explain complex legal and technical issues in plain language and his focus on finding effective, results-oriented solutions.

Before entering private practice, Chris served as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice after being selected and hired through the Attorney General’s Honors Program. He later served as a Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Energy. Previously, Chris served as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Jon P. McCalla in the Western District of Tennessee. Before attending law school, he was a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he developed a strong foundation in patent law that informs his counsel to clients in a wide range of patent disputes.

He has handled a wide range of legal matters, including briefing and arguing motions and appeals, taking and defending depositions, working with experts, and managing discovery in cases of all sizes. Chris’s work often involves explaining complicated issues, including technical engineering concepts, and presenting them clearly to courts.
