Biography

Kat focuses her practice on complex civil and criminal litigation, drawing on more than a decade of experience in both public service and private practice. Her expertise and diverse skill set have benefited clients in a wide range of high-stakes litigation and federal investigatory matters. Kat’s ability to develop clear and persuasive arguments have made her a sought-after advocate for clients as they navigate intricate legal and factual issues.

Her early legal career included clerking for Judge Edward B. Atkins in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, where Kat gained valuable insight into the federal judicial process. She later served as a federal prosecutor, where she led investigations involving wiretaps and strategic coordination with various law enforcement agencies on large-scale criminal matters.

In private practice, Kat concentrates on representing clients in complex litigation involving serious personal injury, tort, and mass tort claims. She is recognized for her exceptional legal writing, strategic thinking, and ability to manage both complex and high-volume caseloads effectively.

Outside of her legal work, Kat enjoys spending time with her family and exploring new cultures, especially through their cuisines. Whether trying street food abroad or recreating international dishes at home, Kat values the connection between food, travel, and shared experiences.
